77.5% of Haywood County residents old enough to vote in 2021

Of the 17,912 citizens living in Haywood County in 2021, 77.5% were old enough to vote, equating to 13,878 individuals, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained on Oct. 26.

Further breakdown reveals that of the voting-eligible population, 6,433 were male, constituting 46.4%, and 7,445 were female, making up 53.6%.

The percentage of citizens old enough to vote in Haywood County during 2021 was lower than the state average, which stands at 77.6%.
