Census Bureau: 78.1% of people in Mcnairy County were old enough to vote in 2021

Of the 25,916 citizens living in Mcnairy County in 2021, 78.1% were old enough to vote, equating to 20,247 individuals, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained on Oct. 26.

Further breakdown reveals that of the voting-eligible population, 9,824 were male, constituting 48.5%, and 10,423 were female, making up 51.5%.

The percentage of citizens old enough to vote in Mcnairy County during 2021 was higher than the state average, which stands at 77.6%.
