Despite their season coming to an end, the accolades continue to roll in for the Freed-Hardeman University Lady Lions as six were named 2023 Daktronics NAIA Women's Basketball Scholar-Athletes.

According to the NAIA, "The 2023 list features 873 student-athletes that achieved at least a 3.5 cumulative grade point average (GPA) at their institution. In order to be nominated by an institution's head coach or sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale, must appear on the eligibility certificate for the sport and have attended one full year at said institution."

The Lady Lions saw sophomores Kelsey Bender, Brylee Bone, and Kaylee Odom named to the team, with Katie Arms being the lone junior. In their senior year, Taryn Kile and KJ White were selected for the honor.
