The Lane College Dragons capped their extended road slate on Wednesday night with a win over division rival Kentucky State. It was the Dragons fourth win in their last five games.

It was a back-and-forth affair that saw nine ties and 13 lead changes. Lane was dominant in a number of categories and it proved to be the difference in the game. Most notably in turnovers as the Dragons committed only 13 but forced 27 from Kentucky State.

The visitors outscored the hosts 20-5 in second chance points and 26-13 in points off turnovers.

Lane's bench also dominated the Thorobreds with a 34-16 bench scoring advantage. The transition game also belonged to Lane as the Dragons outscored KSU 19-2 in fast break points.

Kelvin Allen came off the bench to lead Lane with 20 points on 6-of-14 shooting and led the team in rebounds with six. Allen was also efficient from the charity stripe, knocking down 8-of-10 chances.

Floyd Williams added 14 points including four made 3-pointers and also collected seven steals. Radarious Washington chipped in 13 points while Julian Eziukwu had 11 points off the bench.
