Adamsville Police Department Christmas With a Cop

Earlier this week APD held its first annual Christmas with a Cop event. The event was an absolute hit, and we were fortunate enough to bless multiple families. The night started with a reception at APD for the participants and their families to enjoy a meal with our officers and for the kids to be able to interact with our officers and give them some helpful hints on what they would like to pick out on their shopping trip. Each family also received a Christmas turkey and ham so that the families could enjoy a Christmas day meal. Following the reception, the kids were each paired with a member of our department at Savannah, TN Walmart and were allowed to shop for not only themselves, but to also pick out Christmas presents for their parents/guardians, brothers/sisters, grandparents, and even their pets! There were lots of smiles, laughs, and fun had by all involved.

- A Message from the Chief    -

“This event, along with other special projects throughout the year, allowing our department to give back to our community, in particular the youth of our community, has been prioritized by our department. The willingness of those in, and around, our wonderful City to support our youth, our police department, and our community was truly exemplified through this event. The support that our department received from the community in the first year of putting on this event is truly humbling to each one of us here at APD. We are extremely grateful for the support and generous contributions of those involved that allowed us to host this special event. With the continued support of the community, we look forward to making this an annual event in the future.”- Chief Reagan
