The Lane College women's basketball team played host to the Allen University Yellow Jackets on Monday night inside JF Lane Gymnasium.
The Dragons used a big third quarter to overcome a halftime deficit, out scoring the visitors 23-16 and taking the lead with 7:46 left to play in the third frame. The hosts would not surrender the lead and defeated the Yellow Jackets, 74-66.
Brailyn Tate led the way for the Dragons with 20 points and eight rebounds.
Jordyn Neal added 16 points and Sabreya Lee finished with 10 points.
The win moves Lane to 3-1 on the season and 2-0 in conference play.
The Dragons will return to JF Lane Gymnasium on Tuesday night when they host Arkansas Baptist. Tip-off is scheduled for 5:30 PM.
