With less than a week remaining before the 2022 season kicks off, the Mid-South Conference has released their preseason watch list. Conference coaches each submitted three players whom they anticipate will have significant impact on their teams' successes this upcoming season.
Freshman Pia Grosse is the first name for the Lady Lions. The Weimar, Germany, native expects to control the ball in the midfield for Freed-Hardeman.
Sophomore goalkeeper Brooke Latham will hope to continue her improvement, after tallynig 60 saves in her first year as a Lady Lion, to stopping 140 shots on goal in the 2021 campaign.
Forward Jessica Musselman finishes up the FHU student-athletes on the watch list. The Riner, Virginian was constantly on the attack, leading her squad in both total shots (19) and in shots on goal (10) in 2021.
The Lady Lions will be the first team in competition for Freed-Hardeman, beginning the year with a trip to Toccoa Falls (Ga.) College on August 23 at 1:00 p.m.
