Freed-Hardeman University Mid-South Conference announces softball players of the week

Campbellsville's (Ky.) Payton Blades and Freed-Hardeman's (Tenn.) Brittany Adair are the Mid-South Conference Softball Players of the Week, conference officials announced on Monday.

MSC Softball Pitcher of the Week

Brittany Adair - Freed-Hardeman – So. – Pitcher - Cookeville, Tenn.

  • Adair appeared in four games recording two wins and picking up a save.
  • She pitched a total of 15 innings allowing just five hits and striking out 32.
  • Adair did not give up a run in those 15 innings.
  • She earns weekly honors for the second time this season and fourth in her career.
MSC Softball Player of the Week

Payton Blades – Campbellsville (Ky.) – Jr. – UTL - Island, Ky.

  • Blades batted .400 (8-for-20) in six games.
  • She recorded multiple hits in two of the six games.
  • Blades hit four home runs and drove in 14.
  • She had two games with multiple RBIs including a high of six.
  • Blades earns weekly honors for the second time this season and fourth in her career.
