Cost of college went up for all students at Union University

Tuition and fees rose 3.5 percent for 2018-19 at Union University, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Tennessee students paid $32,610 to attend the four-year private not-for-profit institution this year – $1,100 more than the $31,510 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 100 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 317 students received grants or scholarships totaling $7.2 million and 179 students took out student loans totaling more than $1.1 million.

Including all undergraduates (3,247), 1,553 students used grants or scholarships totaling $30.6 million, and 1,007 students took out $8 million in federal student loans.
