Senator Bill Hagerty, U.S. Senator from Tennessee, posted a series of tweets highlighting his ongoing efforts in energy development, support for advanced nuclear technology, and reflections on Good Friday.

On April 2, 2026, Hagerty acknowledged his partnership with local officials in Roane County: “Roane County Executive Wade Creswell is a great friend and trusted partner as we continue driving energy and economic development in Oak Ridge. It was a pleasure to sit down one-on-one and discuss the path forward with him.”

The following day, April 3, 2026, he emphasized the importance of nuclear power innovation in Tennessee: “Advanced nuclear is critical to America’s energy security and future. Kairos Power is leading the way with its groundbreaking Hermes reactor project in Oak Ridge, helping establish Tennessee as a national hub for reliable 24/7 power.”

Later that same day, Hagerty shared a message marking Good Friday: “On this solemn Good Friday, may we remember the greatest act of love the world has ever known — our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ laying down His life on the cross sacrificing himself for our sins. May your day be filled with reflection, prayer, and gratitude for the incredible”

Bill Hagerty serves on several Senate committees including Appropriations; Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs; Foreign Relations; and Rules and Administration (official website).
