Senator Bill Hagerty, a Republican representing Tennessee in the U.S. Senate, recently used his social media platform to comment on President Biden’s economic and healthcare policies.
On February 25, 2026, Hagerty posted support for the administration’s trade measures: “As @POTUS just pointed out, his tariff policy is putting American workers first by fighting for a level playing field for American businesses. We are already seeing the results. The United States has seen $9.7 trillion in new investments from private companies and foreign”.
Later that day, he addressed healthcare reform efforts: “.@POTUS is fighting against the failed healthcare system created by the Democrats. He is acting in the best interests of the patients rather than insurance companies.”
In another post, Hagerty commented on prescription drug pricing: “.@POTUS is delivering on his promise to lower drug costs. No American should have to choose between their prescription or putting dinner on the table.”
Senator Hagerty maintains several district offices across Tennessee—including locations in Chattanooga, Knoxville and the Tri-Cities—as well as an office in Washington, D.C., according to his official website. His office provides constituent services such as casework assistance and federal agency support statewide. In addition to these responsibilities, Hagerty serves on multiple Senate committees including Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs; Foreign Relations; Appropriations; and Rules and Administration during the 119th Congress.
