Millay Lambert stepped to the plate in the bottom of the seventh inning with a runner on first and the Dragons trailing by one run. The senior utility player then did what she is known for best: clutch hitting. Lambert sent an 0-2 pitch deep over the left field wall to give Lane the comeback victory over Rhodes College.

After failing to score through the first four innings, the Dragons turned to their small ball game to plate two runs in the home half of the fifth to tie the game.

The Lynx would retake the lead on a hit batter in the top of the seventh.

After a lead-off ground out in the bottom half of the seventh, freshman Shawna McNair singled to put the tying run on base. Lambert handled the rest, belting the game winning home run and giving Lane their 14th win of the season.

The Florence, Ala. native ended the night 4-for-8 with four RBI and three runs scored.

Jersey Cabana (8-1) got the complete game win, allowing three runs and striking out five.
