The Lane College softball team took part in the annual SIAC Crossover event this week, facing off against the East Division teams in the conference.

Rain altered the schedule, and ultimately canceled three games, but the Dragons took three of their four contests, earning wins over Benedict, Fort Valley State, and Clark Atlanta.

The wins move Lane to 17-3 on the season.

Jayden McCarty led the way at the plate, going 6-for-13 with four RBI. Kaylee Stinnett led the team with five RBI and Millay Lambert scored five runs.

Jersey Cabana led the battery with two complete game wins. The freshman pitched 14.2 innings, allowing just three earned runs while striking out 15 batters.

Autumn Phillips picked up the other win for Lane, going the distance against Clark Atlanta and allowing just one earned run.
