The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) has announced its softball weekly honors, released by the league office on Monday.
 
Millay Lambert (Lane) was named Player of the Week, while teammate, Jersey Cabana (Lane) earned Pitcher of the Week honors.
 
PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Millay Lambert, Lane
Utility Player  |  Senior  |  Florence, AL
 
Lambert was 6-for-7 in Lane’s opening day wins this week. She scored seven runs and had five RBI. She carried an .889 on-base percentage. The senior was also perfect in the field, converting all 12 of her putout opportunities.
 
PITCHER OF THE WEEK – Jersey Cabana, Lane
Pitcher  |  Freshman  |  San Dimas, CA
 
Cabana pitched a perfect game in her collegiate debut, facing the minimum and allowing no base runners while striking out 11 of the 15 batters she faced. She led Lane to a sweep of Rust College on opening day of the 2023 season.
