The women’s golf team took a third place finish in the Blue Mountain Golf Classic at the Old Waverly Golf Course. The Lady Lions improved on their first round, shooting 336 as a team. 

Bailey Gilbert started the lineup for the women today. The junior shot 79 (+7) in her final round, giving her a 5th place finish. Next was sophomore Reagan Malone who improved on her first round score by shooting 85 (+13). Following Malone was a pair of 86s (+14) from junior Sara Browning and freshman Makenzie Wilson. Rounding out the lineup was sophomore Riya Key who shot 90 (+18). 

The Lady Lions maintained their spot on the leaderboard from the first round despite improving their overall total. They finished third 11 strokes behind Blue Mountain Christian University (Ms.) and were ahead of Bethel University (Tenn.). Up next, the Lions will play in the Mid-South Conference Spring Preview hosted at The Bear Trace Cumberland Mountain in Crossville, Tennessee on April 17th-18th.
